Help Needed for "Flowers for Fleur Day"
Businesses are needed to assist in selling flowers throughout the county. If you are a fairly high traffic business and are willing to have flowers sold at your location, or if you have employees who would like to buy (pre-ordered) flowers for delivery to the workplace on Friday, Oct 17th, please contact Sandra Johnson at bob.johnson03@ns.sympatico.ca.
WE NEED BAKED ITEMS!
Please be sure to pass the word along to your friends, family, co-workers, that we still need baked goods (sweets, cookies, rolls, squares, bread, muffins, pies) preserves or small knitted items (mittens & hats are great items for this time of year!) They are to drop them off at the GLASGOW SQUARE at 12 noon on Saturday October 18th - FRONT DOOR.

Brief Event Rundown
The community of Pictou County is rallying to raise funds for Fleur Mainville in her personal fight with cancer. Fleur has been an integral part of the music scene in Pictou County and beyond for many years. She has played at countless community events, festivals and fundraisers and has taught the fiddle to hundreds of students over the years.
Saturday, October 11th
Fiddling for Fleur Day!
Fiddle students of Fleur Mainville’s will be busking all over Pictou County at various business locations from 11 am – 1 pm.
Friday, October 17th
Flowers for Fleur Day!
Various business locations all over Pictou County will have flowers for purchase, each for $5.
Saturday, October 18th
FLEUR-A-THON!
2:00 pm – 10:00 pm at Glasgow Square. Live music all day with a huge bake sale, raffles, 50/50 draws, and pre-orders will also be taken for Fleur's upcoming Christmas CD entitled, Fleurries. For more information or to find out how you can contribute, check back soon.
